My name is Ethan Asur and I’m the Shabbat and Holiday Intern at Hillel of Sonoma County. I am a sophmore at Sonoma State University and a biology major. Being the Shabbat and Holiday Intern means a great deal to me and one of the goals I hope to help accomplish in this position is to have everyone in Hillel become more of a family.
My name is Kate Chavez and I am the Israel Intern for Sonoma County Hillel! I am from Los Angeles and I am in my senior year at Sonoma State University. I am a political science major and hope to go to graduate school in a year for international relations or security policy. On campus, I am president of Alpha Xi Delta, Order of Omega, and Students Supporting Israel. I enjoy being actively involved at SSU. I have had a love for Judaism and a passion for learning about Israel for as long as I can remember. I have now been to Israel twice, and I cannot wait to return to learn more about my homeland.
