Shabbat Dinner at Hillel
Friday, August 31st, 2007Friday, August 31st, 7pm @ Hillel
Every week of the school year we get together to hang out, eat a delicious home-cooked meal, and celebrate Shabbat. Everyone is welcome, so bring a friend!
If you want a ride from SSU, we can meet you at the flagpole by the main (south) entrance at 6:45. If you need a ride email rides@sonomahillel.org so we know you’ll be there.
This week’s Shabbat dinner generously sponsored by Sue Lewis and David Silacci in honor of Marlene and Martin Stein
Have you ever wondered what Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur are really about? Rosh HaShanah, the Jewish new year, is not just the celebration of another passing year, it’s also about the creation/re-creation of your personal world for the year to come. Yom Kippur, the ‘Day of Atonement’ is more than just a fast day, it’s about doing teshuvah – making things right with those you have harmed, including yourself.
