Preparing yourself for the High Holidays

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007

Sunday, September 2nd, 12-1:30 @ Hillel

Rosh Hashanah Have you ever wondered what Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur are really about? Rosh HaShanah, the Jewish new year, is not just the celebration of another passing year, it’s also about the creation/re-creation of your personal world for the year to come. Yom Kippur, the ‘Day of Atonement’ is more than just a fast day, it’s about doing teshuvah – making things right with those you have harmed, including yourself.

Find out more about the deeper meaning of this season, and how to prepare yourself to get the most out of it.

Tsvi Bar-David, a senior rabbinical student at the Academy of Jewish Religion in Los Angeles, will lead this workshop and answer your questions - practical or mystical - about the Jewish High holidays.

In case all of that’s not enough, we’ll have FREE Bagels and Coffee.
